Simplify Your Life Week is observed in August each year and is the perfect time to refocus and declutter. The idea is to eliminate anything that causes stress or anxiety, as most of us tend to clutter up our lives, both physically and psychologically.
Beyond physically decluttering a space there are many ways to simplify our lives. Here are a few to get you thinking:
Coordinate family member’s schedules into one calendar. Sync once and done!
Use a password manager that stores encrypted passwords, such as LastPass.
Say no frequently and take control of your time by using the Four Ds (delete, delay, diminish, and delegate).
Set aside five minutes each day to review and delete old, saved emails, or unsubscribe from promotional emails.
Opt out of junk mail to reduce the amount of unwanted paper coming into your life.
Take a break from social media. Doing so will open time to accomplish other tasks or take a well-deserved nap.
Because we are all different and situations affect us uniquely, choose simplification methods that best suit your own needs. What is one thing you can do this week to simplify your life? Give it a try!
